In MOMMY, WHAT COLOR AM I? lively pre-K student Jeremiah – along with his trusty BFF Dino, a stuffed dinosaur – finds his day has not met his usual expectations.
Ultimately, an innocent, childlike observation – the difference in skin color between Jeremiah and his mother – have created confusion and questions. Now, Jeremiah’s mother reassures him of the many wonderful gifts and qualities that make him unique and special, his skin color amongst them. Enlightening, entertaining and honest, MOMMY, WHAT COLOR AM I? is based on my research as a childhood educator, hours in the classroom, and most of all, answering the very question for my sons. MOMMY, WHAT COLOR AM I? is illustrations by renowned Danish children’s book illustrator Thomas Warming, whose work has been released in several countries and named Book of the Month by the Copenhagen Public Library.
